This Privacy Policy explains how “GaKaWa Tibetan Reader” (the “App”) collects, uses, stores, and protects user information. The App is developed and maintained by Che-An Liu (GaKaWa).
This policy explains user data practices only. It does not disclose API details, synchronization fields, or server implementation details.
1. Information We Collect
Visitors may browse and read public content. If a user creates or signs in to a member account, the App may collect information related to membership services, such as email address, login information, account status, purchased content, purchase records, wallet points, transaction and refund information, and reading-related data after login, including favorites, bookmarks, reading progress, reading marks, and reading preferences.
2. How We Use Information
The App may use the information above to provide, maintain, and improve the services, including creating and managing member accounts, providing reading and member features, verifying purchase status, providing purchased content, handling wallet points and refunds, synchronizing membership-related reading data, providing customer support and notifications, and maintaining service security.
3. Login and Member Accounts
Login is not mandatory. Visitors may use certain browsing and reading features. Purchases, wallet features, synchronization, and other member functions require signing in with an email address and password.
4. Reading Data and Synchronization
After a user signs in, the App may synchronize reading data and purchased content related to membership services to provide a consistent user experience. This data is used only for reading, membership, and purchase-related services and is not sold to third parties.
5. Purchases, Payments, and Wallet
Purchases in the App are processed through the official payment system provided by the platform on which the App is used, such as Google Play Billing or Apple In-App Purchase. Payment information is processed by the relevant platform. The App does not directly collect or store users’ credit card numbers or complete payment details. The App may store necessary information related to purchase verification, purchased content, wallet points, transaction records, and refunds in order to provide member services and customer support.
6. Network Connection
The App requires an internet connection to provide login, online books, synchronization, purchase verification, announcements, support, and related services.
7. Information We Do Not Collect
The current version of the App does not request or use the camera, microphone, photos or photo library, GPS or precise location, contacts, SMS messages, or audio recording.
8. Third-Party Services
The App may use official platform payment services, such as Google Play Billing or Apple In-App Purchase. The App currently does not use Firebase, Google Analytics, or Google AdMob advertising services.
9. Data Sharing
The App does not sell users’ personal information. The App does not share user information with third parties except when necessary to provide services, comply with legal requirements, process payments and purchase verification, protect users, or maintain system security.
10. Data Retention and Deletion
The App retains user information for as long as necessary to provide the services. Users who wish to access, correct, or delete their account and related information may contact us using the contact information below. Certain purchase, transaction, refund, or compliance-related records may need to be retained for a period of time as required by law or for service security purposes.
11. Children’s Privacy
The App is not specifically designed for children. If we become aware that personal information from a child has been collected without appropriate guardian consent, reasonable steps will be taken to delete such information.
12. Changes to This Policy
The App may update this Privacy Policy due to changes in services, legal requirements, or platform requirements. The updated policy will be posted on this page with the latest update date.
